Jason Baluarte Founder
Jason was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up, Jason played numerous sports throughout his life, such as soccer, basketball, football, lacrosse, and boxing. Jason believes that his disciplined nature, strong work ethic, demeanor, and fighting attitude all stem from his New Jersey roots and participation in sports.
Further, Jason attended St. John's University in Queens, NY, before transferring to Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ, where he ultimately finished out his college career. After finishing his undergraduate education, Jason decided to switch coasts and attend California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA. During his second and third year of law school, Jason interned at a plaintiff's personal injury firm, which is where his interest in helping injured persons grew immensely.
Upon passing the bar exam on his first attempt, Jason continued working in plaintiff's personal injury before taking a break to work on employment and wage and hour matters. While handling wage and hour matters, Jason represented individuals against major companies, including Fortune 500 companies. However, Jason missed representing clients in the personal injury field. He believed there was no greater satisfaction than helping a client get the best possible result for his/her injuries. As such, Jason returned to the personal injury field, but there was one thing that he was committed to changing. He wanted to change the interaction between attorney and client. Many of the bigger law firms have too many cases to give each and every client the attention they require and, as a result, many clients are left talking to an
answering machine with no response for days or weeks. Clients should not be left in the dark, or left wondering what is going on with their case. As attorneys, we help our clients navigate through tough times by relieving the stress that comes with handling a legal claim. Clients shouldn’t have to guess when their attorney is going to call. Proper communication is key.
As such, Jason started Baluarte Law Firm. Jason makes sure that every client is attended to and informed every step of the way. His clients are not let in the dark, stuck wondering about how their case is going. Each client's case is given the proper attention, no matter how big or small the case is. If the insurance company is playing "hardball," Jason does not throw in the towel. Jason will continue to fight for all 12 rounds until his clients get the compensation they deserve.
